Ability of obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to prioritize tasks and issues based on technical challenge and business/revenue impact.
Able to test and support initial bring-up of prototype hardware.
Advanced Architecture & PCB Design: Proven ability to lead the full design cycle—including requirement analysis, schematic capture (using Mentor VX/DxDesigner), and complex high-speed layout analysis.

Base Salary - USD $110,000 to $140,000 or more

Candidates need to have exp with high performance digital hardware, component selection, electronic circuit schematic capture and layout knowledge. FPGA exp would be nice but not required
Compliance & Reliability Engineering: Experience designing for MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) and adhering to IPC standards to ensure hardware survivability in high-reliability environments.
Configuration & Lifecycle Management: Proficiency with Agile PLM software to manage product data and streamline manufacturing introduction.
Design Simulation & Analysis: Proficient use of simulation tools such as LTSpice for circuitry, HyperLynx for signal integrity, and MATLAB for system-level modeling.
Diagnostic Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Boundary Scan tools (JTAG) for testing high-density PCBAs where physical probe access is limited.
Diverse product development knowledge from component selection through change orders and factory implementation.

Essential Functions:
Digital hardware research, design, and development related to software defined radios.
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance digital hardware systems.
Experience designing state of the art Analog & Digital electronic circuits including schematic capture and layout knowledge.
Experience in emerging digital design trends (including new parts, manufacturers, capabilities, analysis)
Experience utilizing signal processing algorithms in FPGAs and software.
Experience with Analog & Digital design, tuning, analysis, verification testing, power savings analysis, and optimization.
Experience with part selection and interfacing with manufacturers.
Experience with state of the art high-speed digital communications protocols (USB, Gb Ethernet, PCIeXpress, etc.)..
Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience (4+ with a Master’s degree) or 10+ years of experience in Digital Design in lieu of a degree.
Exposure to electronic circuit elements such as ASICs, PLLs, DACs, Amplifiers and Power Supplies desirable.
Extensive hands-on experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators etc. to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluate results.

Design and development of advanced digital hardware — from concept through production — while working alongside experts in FPGA, DSP, RF, and embedded systems. You’ll gain exposure to the latest high-speed digital interfaces, power-efficient designs, and mission-critical systems integration.
Application of specialized skill sets including digital, analog, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, antenna, and control systems knowledge as required. Provide timely and thorough response to issues that impact continuous production and generation of revenue in the JROC focus factories with staffing and problem-solving expertise.
Successful candidate will have a strong Analog & Digital Electrical Engineering background and experience to support critical component shortages and other design activities for the company's tactical radio products and accessories. The individual will work closely with both the design engineering community and all operational resources to enable continuous manufacturing. Additional program support is also required to enable new business opportunities.
Perform integration with other subsystems including RF, FPGA, DSP, embedded firmware, test equipment, etc.
Problem-solving expertise, ability to work autonomously and with others.
Proficient in the use of high level programming languages to configure programmable logic devices, control electrical circuits, and to increase job efficiency.
Proven and effective communications skills and interpersonal skills.

SDR & RF Architecture Mastery: A nuanced understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and the interaction between digital boards and RF circuitry.
Simulation, prototyping, schematic capture, understanding of printed wiring board and flexible circuit layout design, hands on measurement of high speed and other electrical interfaces
Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with SDR architectures, embedded SW/VHDL, and configuration management tools like Agile.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills couple with ability to work within a large engineering team
Systems Thinking: The ability to visualize cross-disciplinary impacts, such as how digital design choices affect thermal management or software latency.
Verification & Validation (V&V): Expertise in executing subsystem and system-level test plans, using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to identify and resolve critical hardware defects.
