Digital Design Engineer / FPGA Engineer

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Digital Design Engineer to develop and validate FPGA-based digital systems and power control firmware. The role combines HDL, embedded software, FPGA development, and power electronics controls.
Key Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and debug FPGA/HDL implementations using Verilog or VHDL.
Develop Python-based command-line tools and automated test workflows.
Use MATLAB/Simulink to model electrical power systems and control algorithms.
Develop digital designs involving SPI, I2C, AXI/AHB, CAN, Ethernet, EtherCAT, USB, and other interfaces.
Support DSP, switching power converter control, and motor control applications.
Debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
Use FPGA toolchains to synthesize, implement, and verify designs.
Maintain documentation, test procedures, and development workflows.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of embedded systems HDL design experience.
Strong Verilog or VHDL experience.
Hands-on FPGA design and implementation experience.
Experience with digital signal processing and power converter control.
Python scripting/tool development experience.
Experience with Git/version control.
Strong hardware debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
MATLAB/Simulink and HDL Coder.
AMD/Xilinx Vivado.
AXI/AXI-Stream.
C/C++, embedded Linux, and MCU development.
Altium Designer.
Fixed-point mathematics and clock-domain crossing.
