A Day in the Life of the Software Developer
In this role, you'll work across the full technology stack, spending most of your time building, maintaining, and improving features within their operations platform, while also contributing to a modern headless commerce stack. Every line of code you write supports a company whose products reach people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. You'll collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and your fellow technologists to make sure every order gets to the right doorstep.

Responsibilities include:
Build, enhance, and maintain features within the Apache OFBiz platform using Java and JavaScript (Vue.js) to support day-to-day operations
Develop and maintain integrations between OFBiz and other systems across the company's technology ecosystem
Translate operational requirements into clean, well-structured technical solutions and clear designs
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and uptime
Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality
Partner with the operations team to understand their workflows and deliver improvements that make their jobs easier
Contribute to the headless commerce stack (Go back end, Svelte front end) as projects and priorities require
Build and maintain customer-facing features and APIs that keep the storefront fast and dependable
Move fluidly between back-end services and front-end interfaces to deliver complete, full-stack solutions
Help maintain a clean, consistent codebase through shared standards, testing, and code review
Mentor teammates on OFBiz-specific development, reporting, and SQL
Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code) as part of your everyday workflow

Requirements and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in web development
Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with hands-on Vue.js experience
Full-stack capability - comfortable working across both back-end and front-end
Familiarity with Go and Svelte, or the ability to pick them up quickly
Experience with Apache OFBiz or a comparable enterprise Java framework is a strong plus
Solid understanding of automated testing and CI/CD practices
Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment with a regular sprint cadence
Able to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams
Able to work a hybrid schedule from the Salt Lake City office (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Genuine care for mission-driven work and a pride in doing things well
