For our client, we are seeking a Design Engineer - US (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI-enabled capabilities, and business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation within a Media environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $185,000 – $230,000 annually
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the design system across Figma and code
Ensure UI quality across products, focusing on details like transitions and accessibility
Build tooling and processes to enhance design and engineering workflows
Ship production-ready code for components and tooling
Collaborate closely with product designers to make high-quality design strategies real
Establish UI patterns and review implementations with frontend engineers
Continuously improve the efficiency of the team’s collaborative practices
Qualifications
6+ years building production-ready frontend code in complex, component-driven applications
Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern CSS, with strong opinions about component architecture
Demonstrated technical depth and design sensibility through a portfolio or body of work
Experience building and maintaining design systems in production
Fluency with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and familiarity with related integrations
A history of enhancing internal tools or team effectiveness through improved workflows
