Provide technical support for production, quality, and field-related engineering issues
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and release processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience:
5+ years of mechanical or multi-discipline engineering experience preferred
Experience with modular buildings, structural systems, panelized construction, or related industries strongly preferred
Experience with engineering change processes and formal product release environments
Experience preparing packages for external structural review
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, will consider SolidWorks or similar parametric CAD platforms on a case-by-case basis
Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
Expertise in design-for-manufacturing principles
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used, as necessary.
