Design Engineer I (Entry-Level / Junior)
Location: Fort Worth, TX (HQ)
Department: Engineering / Product Development
Reports To: Design Engineer II / Head of Engineering Department

Position Summary
The Design Engineer I supports the development of firearms components and mechanical systems by assisting in CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
This role is focused on execution and learning, with exposure to full product lifecycle development from concept through production.


Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks
Assist in development of firearms components and assemblies
Support prototype builds, testing, and data collection
Generate basic engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation
Assist with tolerance stack-ups and fit/function analysis
Work with manufacturing to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective
Support troubleshooting of design and production issues
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain organized engineering files and revision control

Qualifications
Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
Basic understanding of:
Mechanical design principles
Manufacturing processes (CNC, molding, etc.)
Familiarity with GD&T (preferred but not required)
Strong willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment

Experience & Education
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
0–3 years experience (internships count)
