Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Faade Designer to support the design, development, and execution of building faade systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of faade materials, performance requirements, and industry standards, along with proficiency in 2D/3D design software.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
Develop conceptual and detailed faade designs (glass, aluminum, stone, ACP, curtain wall, cladding, etc.).
Prepare faade shop drawings, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
Conduct structural, thermal, and performance analysis of faade systems.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to ensure integration with building design.
Project Coordination
Review architectural drawings and provide faade design recommendations.
Support faade consultants and contractors during design review and approval stages.
Conduct site visits to verify installation quality and resolve faade-related issues.
Assist in mock-up preparation and testing processes.
Material & Technical Documentation
Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and faade performance criteria.
Evaluate faade materials, finishes, and systems for cost, durability, and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Faade Engineering, or related field.
28+ years of experience in faade design (depending on seniority).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other faade modeling tools.
Knowledge of international faade standards (ASTM, EN, BS, NBC, etc.).
Strong understanding of structural glazing, curtain wall systems, cladding materials, and faade construction.
Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and faade system documentation.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Experience working with faade contractors and suppliers.
