What Will You Do?
We are seeking for a Mechanical Design Systems Engineer responsible for the design and engineering of complete reciprocating compressor packages (Piston/Diaphragm).
This role covers package design, system integration, fabrication support, new product development and product enhancements aligned with global engineering standards.
Specify and size system components to support compressors and auxiliary systems.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure design accuracy and first-time quality.
Prepare and review General Arrangements, P&IDs, 3D models, datasheets,manufacturing drawings and Bills of Material.
Conduct engineering analyses using internal tools, spreadsheets and manualcalculations across strength of materials, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, vibrations, and noise.
Review and interpret customer and project specifications, ensuring full compliance and alignment with agreed scope.
Prepare technical reports, engineering procedures, and documentation in support of project execution.
Evaluate sub-supplier drawings, datasheets, and procedures to ensure seamless integration and technical conformity.
Work cross-functionally with project management and supply chain teams to maintain scope clarity, schedule adherence, and cost control.
Engage with customers to provide technical clarifications, design reviews and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
Support manufacturing, aftermarket and field service teams with designguidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Provide engineering inputs for sales, proposals, supply-chain development, product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with central functions such as Quality, Engineering, Finance, IT and HR to align with organizational strategies.
Your Experience Should Be...
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
5+ years of design experience in air/gas handling, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial environments.
Strong understanding of engineering basics, drawings and bills of material.
Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry standards (ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, SAE).
Basic proficiency in engineering software (Autodesk Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and strong command on Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge of heavy industrial fabrication, welding standards, and mechanical systems (lubrication, cooling, gas lines).
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
