What You Will Do

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of engineering design techniques. This role will involve creating 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings and collaborating with customer cross-functional teams.

Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
Produce detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
Perform basic stress and thermal analysis on designs or coordinate with Stress team.
Participate in the testing and evaluation of prototypes or coordinate with Testing team
Ensure designs are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Stay current with new technologies and design methods.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or ProE. NX preferred.
Understanding use of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) tools, TeamCenter prefered.
Proficient knowledge of GD&T tolerancing and implementation.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Aerospace industry knowledge preferred

Pay Range:$75,000 to $90,000

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements: This position is classified as onsite at Indianapolis, IN.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 0% of travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
