Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Design Engineer to lead the design and development of AC/DC motors and gear systems. This role will focus on electromagnetic design, product development, and manufacturing integration, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions aligned with customer and business objectives.
This position will act as a technical project leader, responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
Lead design, development, and verification of electric motors and related systems (AC/DC), including gear integration
Define project scope, goals, and technical requirements based on customer needs and product specifications
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery
Prepare and review technical documentation including schematics, layouts, test plans, and engineering reports
Conduct engineering analysis, testing, and validation to ensure product performance and reliability
Collaborate with manufacturing and product engineering teams to ensure designs meet DFM/DFA principles
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design and process engineering
Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to communicate project status and technical solutions
Support tooling and fixture development for new products and manufacturing processes
Maintain engineering documentation and project records for current and future reference
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members when needed

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in engineering design and product development
Strong experience in electric motor design (AC/DC) and gear design/manufacturing
Knowledge of CAD, FEA, and simulation tools
Experience with DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing integration
Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and product development processes
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and manage multiple priorities
