JOB SUMMARY
In this full-time position, you’ll support the design, analysis, and optimization of standard and bespoke solutions for oil and gas operations, primarily focused on ROV tooling and subsea assets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the 3D modeling and drafting of subsea assets using CAD software, specifically SolidWorks for collaborative design workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations and project teams) to develop technical drawings, specifications, and operational procedures.
Conduct basic structural and hydraulic calculations as well as support risk assessments for subsea assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, DNV).
Participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing phases for subsea solutions.
Follow engineering processes, generate schedules, and maintain version-controlled CAD files and BOMs in cloud-based platforms.
Stay updated on emerging subsea technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical background in mechanical engineering, subsea systems, or oilfield equipment
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of relevant design engineering experience in subsea oil and gas
3+ years of proficiency with SolidWorks and other CAD software (modeling, assemblies, and drawings)
Strong understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes
Comprehensive knowledge of subsea systems, fluid mechanics, and materials science
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings
Proficiency with project tracking tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Smartsheet
Experience with offshore service companies and intervention tooling
Familiarity with supply chain coordination and vendor management
