We’re partnering with a fast-growing, tech-enabled healthcare organization building a modern care delivery platform designed to serve complex and historically underserved populations.

This team operates at the intersection of care delivery, technology, and operations, combining community-based care models with virtual care and purpose-built software to deliver coordinated, whole-person care.

They are scaling rapidly across new programs, partners, and geographies, and are investing heavily in the interfaces, workflows, and systems that power care delivery and operational execution.

Design Engineer

This is a high-ownership, hybrid role sitting at the intersection of design and engineering — focused on bringing workflow-heavy products to life through high-quality, usable, and scalable interfaces.

You will bridge the gap between product design and engineering, ensuring that complex care delivery workflows are translated into intuitive, performant, and production-ready experiences.

Key Focus Areas

  • Bridging design and engineering in a workflow-heavy, operational product environment
  • Building interfaces that support complex care delivery processes (intake, scheduling, care coordination)
  • Creating scalable, reusable UI components that improve development speed and consistency
  • Reducing friction in internal tools used by care teams and operational staff
  • Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to ship quickly and iteratively
  • Supporting experimentation and rapid iteration in an early-stage product environment

What You Bring

  • Experience as a Design Engineer, Frontend Engineer with strong design sensibility, or similar hybrid role
  • Strong frontend development skills (e.g., React, modern JavaScript frameworks)
  • Experience working closely with designers and translating Figma (or similar) into production UI
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality user experiences
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems or component libraries
  • Comfort operating in early-stage or high-growth environments with ambiguity
  • Strong collaboration skills across Product, Design, and Engineering

Highly Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, value-based care, or Medicaid environments
  • Domain familiarity with care delivery workflows or EHR-adjacent systems
  • Experience building internal tools or workflow-heavy operational products
  • Exposure to accessibility, localization, or culturally sensitive design considerations
  • Experience working in startup environments with high ownership and fast iteration cycles
  • Familiarity with data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or reporting surfaces

Who Thrives Here

  • Builders who enjoy operating at the intersection of design and engineering
  • Individuals who care deeply about usability, craft, and real-world impact
  • People who are comfortable with ambiguity and can move quickly from concept to production
  • Those motivated by improving tools used by frontline care teams and operators
