We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Systems & Harness Design Engineer to lead wiring harness development for construction and mining equipment. This role combines new product development and retrofit programs, offering the opportunity to design, integrate, and validate routed electrical solutions while coordinating offshore engineering resources.
Responsibilities
Design and develop wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and routing for heavy equipment.
Integrate sensors, controllers, and harnesses into machine platforms using CAD.
Develop routed electrical solutions meeting functional, environmental, and manufacturing requirements.
Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams for robust designs.
Serve as onsite technical lead, coordinating execution with offshore engineering teams.
Review and validate designs, drawings, and documentation.
Generate BOMs, connector tables, and wiring specifications.
Support build, test, and validation activities.
Ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience designing electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
Experience in both new product development and retrofit programs.
Strong understanding of routed systems, sensors, and electrical integration on heavy equipment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple locations
