As a Design Engineer at KronosAI, you’ll sit at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering—prototyping, building, and refining user experiences from concept to production. You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering to deliver polished interfaces, robust UI components, and delightful interactions in our core product.
What You’ll Do
What You’ll Do
- Build and ship high-quality UI features end-to-end, from early prototypes to production-ready implementations
- Turn internal and external user needs to clear design intent and accessible, responsive interfaces
- Create and maintain reusable UI components and patterns to improve consistency and development speed
- Implement interaction design details (motion, micro-interactions, states, empty/loading/error experiences) with a high bar for craft
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure performant, reliable user experiences
- Contribute to design systems, documentation, and tooling that improve the product development workflow
- Participate in product discovery by rapidly iterating on prototypes and validating ideas with stakeholders
- 1–5 years of experience building user-facing web products (or equivalent project/portfolio experience)
- Strong front-end fundamentals: semantic HTML, modern CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte) and component-driven development
- A design-forward mindset: you care about typography, layout, interaction, and visual polish
- Ability to work from ambiguous requirements and iterate quickly with AI and cross-functional partners
- Comfort giving and receiving feedback, and using it to improve both design and implementation
- A portfolio or examples of work that demonstrate both UI craft and engineering execution
- Experience with physics simulations or design systems (building or scaling component libraries)
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Knowledge of performance best practices (rendering, bundle size, perceived performance)
- Experience collaborating in Figma and translating design tokens/specs into code
- Interest in AI products and designing interfaces for complex workflows
