Design Engineer

Description
B&H is seeking a graduate engineer who can work in a collaborate setting under the supervision of a registered engineer with an inherent desire to investigate and solve engineering problems. A wide variety of engineering tasks to be performed to gain experience and familiarity with engineering methods and firm operation.

Duties and Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Entry Level Engineer at Barber & Hoffman, Inc., located in Cranberry Township, PA. In this role, you will be involved in structural analysis and design, performing calculations, using engineering software, becoming familiar with building and material codes, and collaborating with colleagues and clients. Duties also include assisting with construction phase services and assisting senior staff with field work.

Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil or architectural engineering (structural emphasis)
0 to 4 years of relevant work experience
Familiarity with structural engineering and drafting software
Detail oriented with an inherent ability for problem solving
Work in a team environment on a variety of assignments
