We have an immediate need for a Design Engineer at a leading manufacturing company conveniently located in Bucks County. This is a full time direct hire opportunity.
Job Duties Include:
Design and optimization of mechanical components for mechanical powertrain systems
Design and detail Fabricated Weldments and machined components - components include frames, brackets, shafts, couplings, flanges, housing, clutches etc.
Analysis of mechanical systems, including Finite Element analysis for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics
Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems
Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Job Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years’ experience Experience designing multi-axis continuous duty industrial equipment
Exposure to Robotics and Industrial Automation
Proficient in Inventor
Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and FE analysis
Analyze customer design proposals, specification
Ability to meet with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand needs and requirements
Understand mechanical systems including pneumatics
