We are recruiting for a Design Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and testing of advanced electromechanical connector products, specifically, an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and seeing innovative products move from concept to production.
Whether you have experience with connector systems or are looking to develop expertise in this specialized field, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on exposure to product design, manufacturing processes, testing, and customer-driven solutions.
What You'll Do
As a Design Engineer, you will contribute to the full product development lifecycle while expanding your technical expertise in electromechanical product design, specifically:
Design and develop connector components and assemblies using SolidWorks and other engineering tools.
Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
Support new product development efforts from concept through production release.
Participate in design verification testing, fit and function evaluations, tolerance analysis, and product validation activities.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, and project teams to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
Assist with material selection, plating specifications, sealing solutions, and contact configurations.
Review customer requirements and help develop technical solutions that meet application needs.
Support prototype builds, troubleshooting efforts, testing, and product improvements.
Gain exposure to industry standards, engineering specifications, and best practices for connector design and testing.
Contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives and innovative engineering solutions.
Candidates should possess:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical design fundamentals.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, stamping, and assembly.
Exposure to connectors, cable assemblies, or electromechanical products through professional experience, internships, academic projects, or coursework.
Experience supporting product testing, validation, or engineering development activities.
The Opportunity: This role offers a unique opportunity to build specialized expertise in a growing technical field while working on products used in demanding applications. You'll gain hands-on experience across design, manufacturing, testing, and customer support while collaborating with a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and professional development.
We invest in our engineers and provide opportunities to expand your skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and advance your career.
Position Offers:
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
