Design Engineer (Mid-Level)
Location – Hodges, SC
Duration: 12 Months of contract with possible extension
Pay range: $48 - $56 Hourly on W2

Role: Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction.

Tasks:
RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.

Skills:
Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
Foundry tooling Design Experience.(Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast

Additional Technical Skills:
Strong CAD skills (Creo Preferred but not required).
Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast Preferred but not required)
CNC milling knowledge (Preferred but not required)

Education and Experience:
Associates or Bachelor's or Master's Degree
5+ Years of experience
