Hardware Engineering | Mechanical Engineering | Embedded Software Engineering

Locations: San Francisco, CA | Los Angeles, CA | Washington, DC
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Training Requirement: Candidates must be willing to complete an initial 1-month onsite training period in West Virginia before relocating to their designated work location.

As the team continues to grow, we are actively hiring multiple engineering professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy taking products from concept through qualification, testing, and production.

Hardware Engineer
Mechanical Engineer
Embedded Software Engineer

These roles offer the opportunity to work alongside highly collaborative engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, testing, and validating mission-critical systems operating in challenging real-world environments.

Hardware Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electronic hardware systems from concept through production.
Create schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting technical documentation.
Develop hardware safety architectures, fault-tolerant systems, and fail-safe designs.
Support board bring-up, validation, qualification, and environmental testing.
Collaborate with embedded software engineers on hardware integration and system performance.
Manage BOMs, DFM/DFT activities, manufacturing readiness, and production support.
Troubleshoot complex electrical, EMC, power, and signal integrity issues.

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of electronics hardware design experience.
Experience with mixed-signal systems, microcontrollers, sensors, power supplies, and embedded hardware.
Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence, KiCad, or similar platforms.
Strong lab debugging skills utilizing oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and related test equipment.
Experience with environmental qualification, EMC/EMI testing, and design validation.

Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical assemblies, structures, housings, mechanisms, and integrated systems.
Develop manufacturing-ready CAD models, drawings, and documentation.
Support prototyping, testing, validation, and production transfer activities.
Conduct design reviews, tolerance analyses, and design-for-manufacturing evaluations.
Define materials, finishes, fasteners, and environmental performance requirements.
Execute mechanical qualification testing including vibration, shock, environmental, and structural evaluations.
Manage BOMs, weight budgets, and system integration requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years designing ruggedized mechanical systems for aerospace, defense, automotive, UAV, robotics, or industrial applications.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Fusion 360, Onshape, or similar CAD platforms.
Experience producing manufacturing drawings utilizing GD&T principles.
Familiarity with FEA, structural analysis, and simulation tools.
Hands-on prototyping and manufacturing experience.

Embedded Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for safety-critical systems.
Develop device drivers, communication protocols, state machines, and system interfaces.
Support board bring-up, hardware integration, debugging, and qualification activities.
Develop automated testing frameworks and host-based simulation environments.
Optimize firmware performance, reliability, safety, and maintainability.
Support environmental qualification and system validation efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of embedded software development experience.
Strong experience with ARM Cortex-M or similar embedded architectures.
Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or a combination thereof.
Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, DMA, interrupts, timers, and low-level firmware development.
Experience developing firmware for real-world hardware systems.
Familiarity with RTOS environments, safety-critical software, and embedded testing methodologies.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of relevant professional experience.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work onsite and participate in hands-on testing, development, and integration activities.
