About The Role
Ampere Computing is looking for an experienced DDR validation engineer to join its post-silicon validation team in Bangalore to work on cutting-edge next-generation computing products.
We are a cross-geography team of engineers in Bangalore, Pune, Santa Clara, and Vietnam.
DDR Silicon Validation Engineer for memory subsystem at Ampere Computing is an important and high visibility role. Here you will get exposure to Post-Silicon bring-up, functional and electrical validation, going all the way up to production support of Ampere’s server SoC platforms.
Ampere silicon validation team is not merely testing - it includes contributing to development, harnessing new ideas, challenging conventions, and providing creative solutions. You’ll work with a motivated team with a variety of experience spanning hardware, software, firmware, architecture, and analog tuning. Working with other teams of engineers like design, DV, platform, emulation, firmware, software, FAE you are expected to be a significant contributor and reliable team player. Attention to detail, fault detection mindset, thinking creatively, putting quality first, making decisions backed by data, hands-on experience are some of the important characteristics we hire for.
What You'll Achieve
Setup memory subsystem pre/post-silicon validation environment, boards, test equipment
Develop low-level driver(s), test cases in C and assembly, automation tools
Responsible for system testing, characterization, compliance, margin optimization and related data collection & analysis
Contribute to bring-up, functional validation, I/O tuning, PVT testing of memory subsystem, production support (RMAs in case needed)
Generate validation reports, participate in failures analysis, AVL/co-validation
About You
Bachelor's degree & 5 years or Master's degree & 3 years of expereince in SoC pre/post-silicon validation
Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and testing memory subsystem
Deep working knowledge of DRAM functionality, JEDEC standards, DFI specifications, computer architecture, C programming
Expert in bootloader/firmware development in C and assembly
Experience in debugging post silicon issues for high speed interfaces
Good knowledge of digital logic design, analog circuitry, power delivery
Good knowledge of SoC package, board design and related signal integrity
Basic understanding of ARM architecture, UEFI/Linux boot sequence
Basic understanding of DDR-based system design, validation challenge
