Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:
Join a technology-focused data ventures team that builds, enhances, and supports custom business applications used across a wide range of internal functions. This group operates as a hands-on application development team, partnering closely with business analysts, technical leadership, and internal stakeholders to deliver new solutions while maintaining and modernizing existing platforms. The environment is collaborative, practical, and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on full-stack development, responsible AI adoption, and building reliable applications that support real business operations.
What's In Store For You:
This opportunity is best suited for a senior, self-directed developer who enjoys owning full-stack application work from user story translation through development, testing, support, and release. The role is contract-to-hire, with a strong long-term hiring intent after an initial evaluation period. Direct hire may also be considered. This is a W2-only opportunity with no C2C, subcontractor, or 1099 arrangement available. The position is onsite four days per week in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, NC, and local candidates are strongly preferred.
How You Will Make An Impact
Build, enhance, maintain, and support custom applications across modern Angular frontends, Node.js/API layers, and SQL Server/Azure-backed systems.
Take ownership of small to moderately sized applications, translating business requirements and user stories into clear technical tasks and working software.
Develop user interfaces from mockups and guidance provided by business analysts and internal stakeholders.
Design and support application APIs using modern development practices, including OpenAPI-oriented standards where applicable.
Maintain and improve existing applications, including legacy codebases where documentation may vary.
Troubleshoot production issues, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend improvements to code quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
Mentor and support less experienced development team members while remaining hands-on in day-to-day development.
Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, coding, documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Do you bring proven success in senior full-stack application development?
5+ years of software development experience preferred, with strong full-stack application development capability.
Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Strong hands-on experience with Angular, preferably Angular 16 or newer.
Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, SQL Server, Git, and API development.
Ability to work across frontend, backend/API, and database layers; frontend strength is especially valuable.
Experience building UI/API-first applications and translating business requirements into development tasks.
SQL experience sufficient to complete technical screening and support backend/database development.
Familiarity with Azure environments is strongly preferred.
Experience using AI coding or productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, Amazon Q/Kiro-style tools, or similar platforms.
Ability to read existing code, infer system intent, and enhance applications with varying levels of documentation.
Strong communication, independent problem-solving, ownership mindset, and comfort working with business analysts and technical leaders.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and qualifications.
