Company Description
Xook develops automated fresh food kiosks for residential complexes, offices, supermarkets, and public facilities, making healthy, ready-to-eat meals more accessible and convenient. The company focuses on integrating advanced technology with food service to deliver consistent quality and speed. Xook’s solutions are designed for high-traffic environments and aim to reduce operational overhead for partners while improving end-user experience. Team members collaborate across engineering, operations, and design to build reliable, user-friendly kiosk systems that can scale across diverse locations.
Role Description
As a Computer Aided Design Engineer at Xook, you will work on the detailed physical and mechanical design of automated fresh food kiosks and related components in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. You will create and refine 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for manufacturing, ensuring adherence to design standards, safety requirements, and cost targets. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and production teams, validating designs through simulations or prototypes, and incorporating feedback from testing and field deployments. You will prepare documentation and BOMs, support vendors with clear technical specifications, and contribute to continuous design improvements for reliability, maintainability, and user experience.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and physical product design, with experience working on complex electromechanical systems.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D/3D modeling and detailing, with the ability to produce manufacturing-ready drawings and assemblies.
Experience in Physical Design workflows and EDA-related environments, including familiarity with tools such as Cadence or similar design and simulation platforms.
Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, interpret engineering requirements, and translate them into robust, manufacturable designs.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; prior experience in kiosk, automation, consumer hardware, or machinery design is an advantage.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal, plastics, machining), tolerance analysis, and basic structural or thermal considerations.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Bengaluru with vendors and internal stakeholders.
