Commissioning Mechanical Engineer in Chicago, IL

Our client, a leading cloud computing and data center infrastructure company, is looking to hire a Commissioning Mechanical Engineer in Chicago, IL (onsite).
Pay Rate Range: $50 to $60/hr W2
Responsibilities:
• Commission and functional test mechanical systems in data center environments
• Work with HVAC infrastructure including CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, and pumping systems
• Support Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) operations, troubleshooting, and validation
• Conduct vendor training, evaluations, and onsite commissioning support
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and sequences of operations
• Audit commissioning activities to ensure safety and quality compliance
Requirements:
• 5+ years of mechanical commissioning experience
• Data center or mission-critical facility background
• Hands-on BMS/BAS experience
• Experience with HVAC/mechanical infrastructure commissioning
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and sequences of operations
• Strong communication and coordination skills
Nice to Have:
• Siemens Desigo, Metasys, or EcoStruxure experience
• OSHA 30, CCP, or CEM certification
• Vendor training or mentoring experience
