Commissioning Engineer – Data Centre Project
$120-$150 - Dependent on experience + Bonus + Benefits

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a major data centre project in the USA. This role will support the delivery of commissioning activities across critical MEP systems within a fast-paced mission critical construction environment.
Working alongside senior commissioning and project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring systems are tested, validated, and handed over safely and efficiently to the client.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing sector with exposure to large-scale hyperscale and mission critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support commissioning activities across mechanical and electrical systems on site.
Assist with pre-commissioning, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and final handover activities.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are completed on schedule.
Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, and technical documentation.
Monitor system performance and identify technical issues during testing phases.
Ensure commissioning works are completed in line with project specifications, QA/QC standards, and safety requirements.
Support the preparation of commissioning reports and progress updates.
Attend commissioning meetings and assist with tracking project milestones.
Work closely with client representatives and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Maintain accurate commissioning records and turnover documentation.
Requirements
Experience as a Commissioning Engineer within data centre, mission critical, or large-scale construction projects.
Understanding of MEP systems including electrical, HVAC, UPS, generators, BMS, and critical infrastructure systems.
Familiarity with commissioning processes and project delivery environments.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work within fast-paced site environments and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of health & safety procedures and QA/QC processes.
Degree or trade qualification in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
Willingness to travel or relocate within the USA depending on project requirements.
