Ready to own the toolpath from concept to chip?

If coordinating production, writing bulletproof CNC programs, and building clean route sheets sounds like your craft, this role lets you do it all—while leading a multi-functional department toward lower cost and higher quality.

Role snapshot

Dual-impact position: line (control and coordinate production) + support (develop/implement CNC programs and computer-generated route sheets).
Lead cost and quality initiatives: foster manufacturing techniques that cut part cost and elevate part quality.
Department leadership: direct and coordinate a multi-functional team; deliver training programs; pioneer new processes to drive cost reduction.

What you’ll do

Oversee machining operations: shop-floor execution, CAD/CAM interface, CNC programming, and route-sheet creation.
Assist operators: hands-on troubleshooting to keep throughput on track.
Produce CNC programs and route sheets for production demand.
Issue tooling orders for all required fixturing and collaborate with tool designers on fixture predesign.
Generate tool requisitions for all non HI-LO items.
Reduce losses: identify and eliminate root causes behind scrap and rework.
Safety & housekeeping: spot issues early, drive a safe workplace, and maintain top-tier housekeeping standards.
Quality systems: monitor and control ISO 9000 requirements where applicable.
Partner with Product Engineering to resolve quality, manufacturing, and design problems.

Leadership & supervision

Step in as supervisor when needed; lead and direct Bargaining Unit Personnel.

Must-have background

5+ years in manufacturing and manufacturing processes, shop-floor control, graphics-based CNC programming, and computer-assisted route sheet generation.
Ability to motivate and administer Bargaining Unit Personnel; strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Core proficiencies

CNC Tooling
CNC Programming
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
CAD/CAM Software
