Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience with design of digital or analog circuits.
  • Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Join Our Team as an Avionics Circuit Design Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Sunnyvale CA and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

This is an Avionics Circuit Design Engineer role where you will work on the development, integration, and production of a sophisticated state-of the-art electronics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role

  • Design and build the circuitry of the electronics product.
  • Collaborate with Printed Wiring Board, Fuidance, Navigation & Control, FPGA, and Special Test Equipment teams to construct and checkout this hardware.
  • Design and prepare the checkout and test procedures to bring this hardware product to Acceptance and Qualification, ensuring the product meets customer requirements and ready for flight.

To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need

  • Experience with design of digital or analog circuits and performing electronics analysis (Worst Cast Analysis or Electrical Parts Stress Analysis).
  • Experience in schematic capture (i.e. Zuken) or electronics simulation software (i.e. PSPICE).
  • 3+ years professional experience.
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions.
  • Experience in electronic systems schematic creation and interpretation, and Electronics Modeling/Simulation Software such as SPICE.
  • Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar software.
  • Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation software experience.
  • Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, stakeholders, subcontractors and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a exciting, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to shape consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrated thorough problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
