Role: Chief Architect - SoC / platform
Key Responsibilities
Architecture vision and strategy
Define and drive the long-term SoC and platform architecture roadmap across multiple product lines
Align architecture strategy with business goals, market trends, and customer requirements
Establish technology direction including compute, connectivity, security, and power architecture
Platform & Ecosystem Leadership
Define scalable and reusable platform architectures enabling multiple product variants
Drive IP reuse strategy and ecosystem partnerships (internal and external)
Lead decisions on build vs buy vs partner for key technologies
Technical Governance & Decision Making
Own architectural decisions across programs ensuring alignment with PPA, cost, and time-to-market goals
Establish architecture review boards and governance processes
Resolve complex cross-functional technical trade-offs
Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration
Partner with product management, business leaders, and customers to translate requirements into architecture strategy
Collaborate with engineering, validation, and software leadership to ensure execution alignment
Represent architecture in executive forums and customer discussions
Innovation & Future Readiness
Identify and drive adoption of emerging technologies for competitive advantage
Define next-generation architecture concepts and incubation initiatives
Influence industry direction through standards and partnerships
Leadership & Capability Building
Mentor senior architects and build high-performing architecture teams
Define best practices, frameworks, and design methodologies
Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence
Qualifications
Experience
15+ years of experience in SoC architecture, IP design, or chip development
Proven track record of successful chip tape-outs and silicon bring-up
Experience defining and meeting PPA (Performance, Power, Area) targets for production chips
