cellular test engineer

Simulator experience is required ( Keywords: Anite, Keysight, Anritsu, R&S) Script validation and analysis, Automatio is must.


Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated vendor engineer with strong expertise in cellular technologies (4G/5G) to support device validation, debugging, and certification activities. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams (FW, SW, modem, and labs) to ensure robust cellular performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform end-to-end device validation for cellular technologies including LTE, 5G (SA/NSA) features
· Execute and analyze lab and field testing across multiple carriers and network conditions
· Conduct protocol-level debugging using logs (QXDM, MBIM traces, modem logs, etc.)
· Identify, isolate, and root-cause cellular connectivity issues (attach, call drops, data failures, standby behavior)
· Work with internal teams and vendors to triage bugs and drive issues to closure
· Support regression validation and sanity verification.
· Generate test reports, defect summaries, and RCA documentation
· Contribute to improving test coverage, automation, and validation frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

· Strong protocol knowledge (3GPP – LTE/5G signaling, NAS/RRC basics, IMS/SIP flows)
· Device testing experience (smartphones, modems, or embedded systems)
· Hands-on experience with cellular test equipment (e.g., call boxes like Anritsu, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz)
· Experience in log analysis and debugging tools (e.g., QXDM, modem logs, trace analysis)
· Good understanding of cellular call flows, attach procedures, and data connectivity
· Working knowledge of scripting (Python / PowerShell / Bash) for test automation, log parsing, or workflow efficiency
