Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CAM Programmer role based in Bengaluru. The CAM Programmer will create and optimize CNC programs for milling and machining operations, ensuring efficient material usage, accurate dimensions, and adherence to quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, defining machining strategies, selecting appropriate tools and cutting parameters, and preparing setup sheets for the production team. The role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturability issues, improve cycle times, and support new product introductions. The CAM Programmer will also troubleshoot machining problems on the shop floor, update programs based on feedback, and maintain organized documentation of all programs and process changes.
Qualifications
Ability to read, interpret, and create Technical Drawings for precision components.
Hands-on experience with Milling and general Machining processes in a production environment.
Strong skills in Programming and CNC Programming for multi-axis machines using CAM software.
Understanding of cutting tools, materials, feeds and speeds, and fixture design for efficient machining.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, or a related technical field.
Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Powermill, or similar) and CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens) is preferred.
Mandatory Skill - Mastercam.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru and support shop-floor activities as needed.
