Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced CAD / TCAD Engineer to support advanced semiconductor technology development, Process Design Kit (PDK) enablement, technology computer-aided design (TCAD), and EDA automation. The role involves developing process and device simulation flows, automating design methodologies, supporting technology qualification, and enabling next-generation semiconductor platforms for digital, analog, mixed-signal, RF, automotive, AI, and high-performance computing applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in TCAD simulation, semiconductor process modeling, device simulation, CAD automation, Process Design Kits (PDKs), scripting, and EDA workflows, while collaborating with Process Integration, Device Modeling, Library Development, Physical Design, and Product Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize TCAD simulation flows for advanced semiconductor process technologies.
Perform process, device, and reliability simulations to support technology development and process optimization.
Build and maintain CAD infrastructure, design automation tools, and engineering workflows.
Develop and enhance Process Design Kits (PDKs) supporting digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF design.
Automate engineering workflows using Python, Tcl, Perl, and Shell scripting to improve productivity and design quality.
Collaborate with Process Integration, Device Modeling, Physical Design, Standard Cell, and Library Engineering teams.
Validate process simulation results using silicon characterization and manufacturing data.
Support technology qualification, node migration, and customer enablement activities.
Perform Design Rule development, technology file validation, and process documentation.
Investigate technology issues and implement continuous improvements for simulation accuracy and automation efficiency.
Support global engineering teams with design enablement, EDA tool integration, and methodology development.
Develop technical documentation, simulation reports, and engineering guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
5 12 years of experience in CAD, TCAD, Process Simulation, Device Simulation, or Semiconductor Technology Development.
Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and CMOS technology.
Experience supporting advanced process technologies and EDA environments.
