About The Role

This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.
We are seeking a CAD Engineer with a focus on compute and design infrastructure to support our Custom ASIC Silicon (CAS) team. This role is critical to enabling a high-performance design environment that empowers our engineering teams to execute at the cutting edge of semiconductor development.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Implement and maintain compute infrastructure supporting CAS design and verification activities
Configure and manage EDA tool environments and license servers for the CAS engineering team
Support the deployment of high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and storage systems for large-scale simulation and verification workloads
Implement continuous integration systems for design validation within the CAS flow
Monitor compute resource utilization and provide capacity planning recommendations
Manage EDA tool access, licensing, and version control across the CAS team
Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to optimize on-premise and cloud-based design environments
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues impacting design team productivity
Develop and document infrastructure best practices and standard operating procedures for the CAS organization
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years of experience in CAD/EDA infrastructure or semiconductor design environments
Experience managing compute infrastructure for semiconductor or ASIC design teams
Familiarity with EDA license server management (e.g., FlexLM/FlexNet)
Strong scripting skills (Python, shell, Perl, or Tcl)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) in a hardware design context
Knowledge of Linux-based HPC environments
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. in relevant engineering discipline
Experience with cloud-based EDA infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
Background in high-performance computing environments for VLSI design
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines applied to hardware design flows
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in EDA environments
Understanding of storage systems and network architecture for large design databases
Experience supporting large ASIC design teams across multiple concurrent projects
Compensation Range For
CA applicants is $230,773.00 - $323,081.85 WA applicants is $230,773.00 - $323,081.85
