About the Role
We are looking for a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer with strong experience in dental milling to join our team. This role is responsible for reverse engineering implant interfaces, creating complex milling strategies, and developing custom implant libraries. The ideal candidate is highly technical and capable of both programming and light machine operation.
Key Responsibilities
· Reverse engineer implant interfaces using CMM and standard measuring tools
· Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings of parts
· Develop CAM programs and milling strategies using WorkNC (one-off programs and reusable templates)
· Create and maintain implant libraries in exocad and 3Shape
· Design and mill custom scan bodies (physical and virtual)
· Optimize milling strategies for zirconia, PMMA, and titanium premills on Arum machines
· Support machine operators with program troubleshooting and edits
· Collaborate with the design and production teams to improve efficiency and quality
Requirements
· 4+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a dental or precision manufacturing environment
· Advanced proficiency in WorkNC (required)
· Strong experience with exocad and/or 3Shape
· Experience reverse engineering parts and creating technical drawings
· Working knowledge of 5-axis milling strategies and toolpath optimization
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience running CNC or Swiss lathe machines
· Experience with dental implant systems and scan bodies
· Familiarity with Roeders or Arum milling equipment
Compensation
$32 – $42 per hour, depending on experience and technical skill level.
