Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to support precision manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing CNC programs. This role is responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient machine-ready code, ensuring high-quality production, and improving machining processes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with CAD/CAM tools, strong CNC programming knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software based on engineering drawings and specifications
Create and optimize CNC programs, including toolpaths for machining operations
Convert design files into machine-readable code (G-code/M-code)
Set up, test, and refine machining processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle time
Perform simulations to identify and resolve programming or machining issues prior to production
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve manufacturability and process outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and revisions
Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production requirements
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in CAD/CAM programming or CNC machining
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., VersaFAB or similar platforms)
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork skills
