Overview:
A leading global investment firm is looking for a strong C# Risk Engineer to join its risk technology platform team in New York.

This is a high impact engineering role building the core infrastructure used by risk managers and business stakeholders to access, analyse and report on large scale risk data. You will be working on scalable, high throughput systems where performance, reliability and clean engineering really matter.

Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain risk reporting and analytics platforms using C# and .NET.
Develop scalable systems capable of processing large volumes of data quickly and reliably.
Work closely with risk managers, data engineers, DevOps and wider technology teams to deliver robust solutions.
Take ownership of requirements from initial discussion through to delivery.
Improve platform stability, performance and scalability.
Champion strong engineering practices across code reviews, automated testing, CI and CD.
Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical stakeholders.

Experience:
4 plus years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands on experience with C# and .NET.
Proven experience designing scalable, performant systems.
Strong understanding of T SQL and relational or OLAP database design patterns.
Experience working with large datasets and performance critical applications.
Confident working independently in a remote or distributed team environment.
Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical problems.

Nice to have:
Experience with Snowflake or other columnar databases.
Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
Exposure to Kubernetes or containerised environments.
Experience with API load testing, regression testing and performance tuning.
Financial services or risk management domain experience.
