Board Level Test Engineer – Day Shift
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Shift: Day Shift

Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
We are looking for a skilled Board Level Test Engineer to support hardware validation, diagnostics, and board-level testing activities for advanced PC, server, CPU, and GPU platforms.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong debugging, scripting, and hardware troubleshooting expertise in lab and validation environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Validation & Troubleshooting
• Perform first-level hardware triage and troubleshooting for PC and server platforms
• Identify and resolve setup issues and test failures using structured debugging methodologies
• Support diagnostics and fault isolation activities for board-level systems
Test Automation & Diagnostics
• Design and implement diagnostic tools and validation scripts
• Develop and maintain automation using Python and Shell scripting
• Execute validation and debug activities in Linux and Windows environments
Platform & Protocol Support
• Work with motherboards, CPUs, and GPU platforms in lab environments
• Support systems utilizing:
Ethernet
NVLink
Infiniband
• Troubleshoot hardware communication and connectivity issues
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with validation, diagnostics, and engineering teams
• Support smooth product transition activities during the NPI cycle
• Assist in improving validation coverage and debug efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
✔ Strong Python scripting skills
✔ Shell scripting experience
✔ Linux and Windows OS familiarity
✔ Knowledge of hardware protocols:
PCIe
Ethernet
USB
HDMI
I2C
SPI
Infiniband
✔ Experience working with CPUs and GPUs
✔ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
✔ Experience using test and validation equipment
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have:
• Linux administration experience
• Advanced scripting/automation background
• Exposure to board-level validation or NPI environments
Important Notes:
• This is a hands-on lab-based engineering role
• Candidates should have strong hardware debugging and validation experience
• Immediate availability is highly preferred
