Must-Have Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Telematics and OTA (Over-The-Air) testing.
At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in in-vehicle testing and validation.
Strong experience in test case development, test planning, and execution.
Proven ability to identify, document, and track defects, with clear explanation and supporting logs.
Hands-on experience with ECU flashing and firmware updates using both OTA and OBD tools.
Proficiency in using Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols, including CAN, CAN FD, UDS, and J1939.
Experience in vehicle diagnostics and use of OBD tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts and issues.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
Ability to work onsite on a full-time basis (no remote or hybrid option).
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
Must have a valid and clean driving record.
Willingness to travel:
50–75% locally within the Dallas area (plants and dealerships).
Up to 25% out-of-state travel as required.
Core Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of OTA architecture and vehicle connectivity systems.
Experience in vehicle-level and bench-level testing and validation.
Hands-on expertise in CAN bus monitoring, log analysis, and diagnostic message interpretation.
Ability to support defect triage calls and collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
Experience in validating software updates, rollback mechanisms, and update integrity.
Capability to create OTA test packages and perform remote vehicle diagnostics
