2. About the Opportunity:
The Automated Tester role is responsible for leading quality assurance activities across a portfolio of applications supporting a government operations and maintenance contract. This position ensures the reliability and quality of software releases through comprehensive testing strategies, defect management, and process improvements. The role is critical in reducing defects, supporting compliance, and enabling predictable release cycles, which directly impacts the organization''s ability to maintain operational integrity and support future modernization efforts.
3. Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
• Manage defect tracking and enforce quality gates before release
• Standardize and maintain documentation for requirements and systems
• Support audit and compliance activities
• Enhance quality assurance practices with repeatable, measurable processes
• Reduce production defects and incident volumes
• Improve change and release management processes
• Support impact analysis for enhancements and fixes
• Facilitate predictable and controlled release cycles
• Provide documentation to support cloud migration and system upgrades
• Mitigate risks in future transformation initiatives
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automated testing or related roles
• Strong customer responsiveness and communication skills
• Innovative problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Experience with GitHub work item management (desired)
• Experience with Cypress and Playwright test automation tools (desired)
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The likely salary range for this position is $91,000 - $130,000, with final compensation based on experience, skills, certifications, and contract provisions.
