Post Sales CAD Engineer – Tampa, FL
A market-leading DoD/DoW and Federal Government AV integrator is seeking a full-time Post Sales CAD Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Tampa, FL. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Programmers, Sales Engineers, and Installation Teams to deliver high-quality audiovisual and unified communications solutions for government and enterprise clients
.The Post Sales CAD Engineer will be responsible for supporting AV system implementations from project kickoff through completion by creating detailed CAD drawings, engineering documentation, system layouts, and project revisions. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring project accuracy, technical consistency, and successful execution across multiple concurrent projects
.
Responsibilitie
s:Create and maintain detailed AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and architectural documentation using AutoC
ADReview project scopes of work, equipment lists, and technical documentation for accuracy and completene
ssSupport post-sales engineering efforts for AV, video conferencing, and integrated technology syste
msCollaborate with Project Managers, Programmers, Technicians, and other stakeholders throughout project executi
onGenerate and revise engineering documentation, including power, data, and infrastructure requiremen
tsProcess drawing revisions, markups, and engineering change orders as projects evol
veAssist in resolving technical issues during system implementation and commissioning phas
esMaintain documentation standards and ensure consistency across all project deliverabl
esManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to deta
ilProvide technical support and coordination with internal teams and external trades when necessa
ryEffectively communicate project updates, technical concerns, and documentation chang
esQualification
s:3–5+ years of AV CAD drafting or post-sales AV engineering experien
ceProficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or newer versions requir
edExperience creating AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, and rack layou
tsUnderstanding of audiovisual systems, structured cabling, video conferencing, and integration standar
dsExperience supporting AV integration projects in enterprise, government, or mission-critical environments preferr
edFamiliarity with DoD or Federal Government project environments is highly desirab
leCTS certification preferr
edManufacturer certifications such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or Poly are a pl
usStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Wo
rdExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skil
lsAbility to work independently while collaborating within a fast-paced team environme
ntExperience with dynamic blocks, drawing standards, and AV documentation best practices preferr
