Role Description
Baker Audio Visual is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced AV Systems Engineer (Design Engineer) to join our team. This role can be based out of Norcross, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Greenville, SC metro areas.
If you enjoy designing integrated AV systems, collaborating with project teams, and bringing complex technology solutions to life from concept through commissioning, this could be a great fit. You’ll work alongside sales, operations, programmers, and field teams to design high-quality audiovisual systems for corporate, education, healthcare, and large venue environments.
What You’ll Do
Design integrated AV systems from concept through construction documentation
Create system schematics, riser diagrams, rack elevations, and layouts
Collaborate with sales and project teams to define scope, budgets, and deliverables
Conduct site surveys and verify field conditions
Support commissioning and system validation
Prepare technical documentation, submittals, and specifications
Work closely with installers, programmers, and clients to ensure successful project execution
What We’re Looking For
Experience designing commercial AV systems
Knowledge of platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, and similar technologies
AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
Strong communication and project coordination skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
AVIXA CTS, Crestron, or Extron certifications (preferred but not required).
Ability to lift and move AV equipment as needed.
Valid driver’s license, CLEAN MVR, and willingness to travel to client sites.
