Role Overview
We are looking for an ATE Power Device / PMIC Test Engineer with experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for power semiconductor devices. The role involves test program development, hardware validation, characterization, production test optimization, and close collaboration with design, product engineering, manufacturing, and reliability teams. Candidates should have strong expertise in power semiconductor testing across wafer sort and final test environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop ATE test programs from scratch for Wafer Sort (WS) and Final Test (FT).
Design engineering validation, characterization, and production test solutions for power semiconductor devices.
Develop, debug, and optimize production test programs for high-current and high-voltage devices.
Design and review high-power load boards, interface boards, and evaluation hardware.
Perform high-current PCB layout reviews, power distribution architecture, bus bar implementation, and Kelvin sensing.
Select and qualify high-current/high-voltage connectors, cables, relays, contactors, and protection circuits.
Develop thermal management solutions including heat sinks, forced-air cooling, liquid cooling, thermal sensors, and safety interlocks.
Execute static, dynamic, switching, protection, and reliability test methodologies.
Perform characterization across Process, Voltage, Current, and Temperature (PVCT) conditions.
Analyze Wafer Sort and Final Test data to improve yield, optimize test limits, and reduce test time.
Correlate ATE measurements with laboratory validation results and develop automation scripts for test execution and reporting.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Validation (EV), Product Qualification, Reliability Testing, and Production Release while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
