Job Title: ASIC Physical Design Engineer
Location: Folsom, CA - 95630
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension
Description:
Develop and implement physical design solutions for SoC devices using RTL, netlists, and design constraints provided by engineering teams.
Utilize EDA tools, automation scripts, and computerized design equipment for physical implementation activities.
Perform floorplanning, power grid design, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and timing closure.
Conduct physical verification to ensure design integrity and implementation quality.
Analyze design quality and troubleshoot physical implementation issues throughout the design cycle.
Verify completed layouts meet performance, power, area, and manufacturability (PPA) requirements.
Review and enhance physical design methodologies and implementation flows.
Validate physical design processes and methodologies to ensure efficient and reliable implementation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design, timing, power, and physical implementation challenges.
Support tapeout activities and ensure designs are ready for final manufacturing.
Requires 10 years of relevant physical design / ASIC / SoC experience.
