Company Description LX Semicon, founded in 1999, is Korea’s leading fabless semiconductor company, specializing in system IC technology for a wide range of display applications across the IT sector. The company is expanding its portfolio to become a global system IC leader, with increasing focus on automotive system IC solutions. LX Semicon actively invests in emerging technologies and new business areas driven by AI and Big Data. Team members work in a technology-focused environment that values innovation, scalability, and global competitiveness. Applicants can expect opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor solutions that support next-generation products and applications.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site ASIC Design Lead - MCU (Design & Integration) role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The individual in this role will lead the architecture definition, RTL design, and integration of MCU-based ASICs, collaborating closely with system architects, verification, physical design, and firmware teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining module and top-level specifications, performing RTL coding, running simulations, and driving integration of IP blocks and subsystems into the full SoC. The role also involves coordinating design reviews, resolving functional and integration issues, and working with verification teams to ensure coverage and sign-off quality. The ASIC Design Lead will mentor junior engineers, support cross-functional planning, and contribute to design methodology improvements and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in digital ASIC design, including MCU-based SoC or subsystem design, RTL development (Verilog/SystemVerilog), and integration of complex IP blocks.
Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures, bus protocols (e.g., AMBA/APB/AHB/AXI), and peripheral interfaces relevant to display or automotive systems.
Experience with simulation, functional verification environments, and debug using industry-standard EDA tools.
Knowledge of synthesis, timing constraints, and close collaboration with physical design teams to achieve PPA (power, performance, area) targets.
Background in low-power design techniques, clock/reset domain crossing, and design-for-test (DFT) concepts is highly desirable.
Ability to lead technical discussions, review specifications, and provide mentorship to junior team members in a collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant experience in semiconductor product development for display, automotive, or other high-reliability applications is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
