Principal ASIC Architect – Advanced AI Computing
Location: Remote (U.S.)
A high-growth semiconductor company developing next-generation computing platforms for artificial intelligence is looking for a senior architect to help define the hardware powering tomorrow's AI applications.
This is a highly influential position for an experienced ASIC architect who enjoys solving problems that span silicon, software, and machine learning. Rather than improving existing products, you'll help determine what future accelerator architectures should look like and guide the technical strategy behind them.
What You'll Contribute:
You'll investigate emerging AI workloads and determine how future hardware should evolve to support them efficiently. Your work will include evaluating architectural tradeoffs, building performance models, and partnering with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate research into practical silicon.
You'll influence decisions involving compute architecture, memory hierarchy, interconnect design, scalability, latency, bandwidth, and power efficiency while helping establish long-term product direction.
What Makes You Successful
Extensive experience architecting complex ASICs or high-performance SoCs
Deep understanding of AI accelerator design principles
Strong background in architectural modeling and performance analysis
Ability to work comfortably between hardware and software disciplines
Excellent technical communication and leadership skills
Bonus Experience
GPU architecture
Machine learning infrastructure
Large-scale inference systems
Compiler technologies
Research publications or patented innovations
Why Consider This Role?
You'll join a small team where architectural decisions have lasting impact, working on technology that addresses some of the most demanding computational challenges in artificial intelligence.
Compensation: $200K–$260K base plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
