Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff ASIC Design Engineer to support the development of ASIC and FPGA solutions for complex, next-generation products. This role will focus on RTL development across ASIC and FPGA environments, working closely with experienced digital design engineers and cross-functional teams including verification, analog, physical design, and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects to understand functional requirements for digital design blocks
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Define, document, and design digital/analog interfaces
Develop detailed implementation plans and technical specifications for complex design blocks
Write RTL code using industry-standard hardware description languages
Develop lower-level testbench code to validate baseline functionality
Create test plans and partner with verification teams to ensure full design validation
Perform synthesis using industry-standard tools and analyze results
Optimize designs to meet power, performance, and area (PPA) targets
Support post-silicon lab validation efforts
Provide ongoing support of design blocks through productization and production
Drive process improvements and automation using scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL)
Mentor and support the development of junior digital design engineers
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Relevant experience operating at a Staff ASIC Design Engineer level
Experience with RTL development and common scripting languages
Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals
Nice to Haves:
Technical leadership or mentorship experience is a plus
Defense and Aerospace experience is a plus
