About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer with a strong background in Automotive Product Development, Automotive Design Engineering, and Fluid Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting engineering programs from quotation through product launch, ensuring successful development, validation, and production of automotive subsystems.
This role requires hands-on experience in Fluid Conveyance Systems, Fuel Lines, Brake Lines, Thermal Management Systems, Hose Assemblies, HVAC Ducts, Interior Trims, and Exterior Trims within a Tier-1 supplier or OEM environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead automotive product design and development activities from concept through production.
Define product requirements by collaborating with customers, account teams, and program managers.
Develop innovative design solutions while ensuring manufacturability and cost optimization.
Support engineering teams in product design, fabrication, processing, and assembly decisions.
Execute product development activities in line with APQP/AQP processes.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
Perform DFMEA and other engineering analyses to identify and mitigate design risks.
Develop and maintain DVP&R documentation to support product validation activities.
Coordinate prototype development, testing, and production readiness activities.
Lead design verification, validation, and problem-solving initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of automotive product designs.
Ensure engineering program milestones and customer deliverables are achieved.

Required Skills
5-15 years of experience in Automotive Product Development or Application Engineering.
Strong experience in one or more of the following:
Fluid Systems
Fluid Conveyance Components
Fuel Lines
Brake Lines
Thermal Management Lines
Tubes, Pipes & Hose Assemblies
HVAC Ducts
Interior Trim Components
Exterior Trim Components
Hands-on experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, Product Validation, and Engineering Documentation.
Strong understanding of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes.
Experience interacting with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple engineering deliverables and program timelines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Skills
Experience working with Automotive Tier-1 Suppliers or OEMs.
Exposure to CATIA, CREO, NX, AutoCAD, or PLM systems.
Experience in prototype development and launch support.
Knowledge of automotive quality and validation processes.
German or French language proficiency is an added advantage.
Experience in customer-facing engineering or program management roles.
