Job Title: Applications Engineer (Discrete Automation)
Location: Remote (HQ in Texas)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $120,000 + Bonus
Our client is an established industrial automation and equipment integrator serving medical device, automotive, semiconductor, and other advanced manufacturing markets, with a strong reputation for designing, building, and servicing complex manufacturing equipment for customers across North America, Asia, Europe, and South America. The Applications Engineer will help drive continued growth by understanding customer requirements, developing custom automation concepts and proposals, and working closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with company objectives
Responsibilities
Develop custom equipment proposals, ROM estimates, and fixed-price quotes
Lead concept development for automated machinery, including robotics, part feeding, and conveyance
Review customer requirements and support sales through technical evaluations and customer discussions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical background
3+ years of applications engineering experience in automation, systems integration, or concept machine design
Experience with assembly, material handling, machine tending, pick-and-place, packaging, and custom machine-building applications
