Introduction: Cutlite America’s (CLA) Application Engineer will be responsible for various sales & operational functions, including training, demonstrations, and technical support. Having a customer experience (CX) mindset is the focus of this role.

Collaborates with: Sales, Technicians, Vendors, Customers
Job Responsibilities:
· Technical Support
Expert in Cutlite Penta laser technology and software.
Capable of explaining all machine features and operations including flat sheet, bevel, and tube laser cutting.
Assist Sales team in providing customer time studies, recommendations for product selection, and producing sample parts.
Support service team with machine installations, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing.
Provide customer phone support to resolve cutting problems and develop parameters for new applications.
Identify improvements to the software functionality and machine performance.
Travel to customer sites in US, Canada, & Mexico to support challenging production processes.
· Training
Lead assigned internal & external application training sessions.
Conduct on-site/remote operator training & application support for customers.
Assist with new customers during startup phase ensuring a smooth transition to production.
Travel to Cutlite Penta factory in Italy for on-going product training.
· Onsite & Offsite Demos
Participate in pre-demo visit calls with customers, dealers, and sales team.
Lead customer demonstrations at CLA CX Center (CXC).
Direct technical preparations for demos at Cupples J&J and CXC for key prospective customers for bevel cutting and other applications.
Assist Sales team with dealer sales visits and demos.
Support Sales team at industry trade shows.
· General Duties
Continuously gather and record customer service experiences to enable us to better serve our customers.
Submit service reports for all onsite customer visits.
Assist in updating and saving files to SharePoint & server, as applicable.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM and other modeling software, along with excellent skills with Microsoft 365 products and CNC program.
Willingness to travel up to 75%.
Ability to organize own schedule and self-manage multiple projects effectively.
Maintain an organized workspace, both in the office and digitally.
