The Application Engineer position exists to provide the highest standard of support to our technical sales efforts through customer visits, on-site assistance and remote communications. Keys to providing superior support will be through effective and efficient problem solving, training, installation assistance, commissioning, and validating ComAp provided controls. We strive to support our customers to deliver best in class products, services and continued support.
Responsibilities
Develop and retain an in-depth functional knowledge for the entire ComAp product portfolio
Interface with customers to comprehend their technical requirements
Assist with the product specification, installation, commissioning, and training for ComAp controls to meet customer requirements
Conduct in-house and on-site training for new and existing customers
Review wiring diagrams and schematics - CAD experience a plus
Provide a high level of technical development support though on-site and remote (telephone and e-mail) communications
Collaborate with the Sales team to prepare project charters, engineering trip reports, change requests and other reports as necessary
Ensure customer satisfaction through the design, specification, installation, operation, and support of ComAp products in accordance with the requirements of the customer and company strategy.
Communicate with cross functional teams to ensure successful and timely completion of customer requirements
Develop application and technical service documentation
Assist in design and development of new and existing products
Must be able to travel 50% of the time
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering related Application Engineering experience
3+ Years of experience
