Role Description
BD|SENSORS LP is seeking an Application Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer to support customer inquiries, product selection, technical quoting, and sales support.
This is a hands-on technical sales role for someone who understands pressure and level measurement applications, can communicate clearly with engineers and purchasing teams, and can help convert incoming inquiries into accurate quotes and orders.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable reviewing application requirements, identifying the correct product configuration, preparing quotations, and working directly with customers, sales representatives, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and review customer inquiries for pressure and level measurement products
Help customers select the correct sensor, transmitter, switch, or level measurement solution
Prepare accurate product configurations, part numbers, pricing, and formal quotations
Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and sales representatives
Interpret application requirements including pressure range, output signal, process connection, electrical connection, media compatibility, accuracy, approvals, and environmental conditions
Follow up on quotes and assist with moving opportunities through the sales process
Work with BD SENSORS Germany and internal teams on special applications or custom product requests
Maintain accurate quote and customer information in CRM/sales systems
Support customers before and after the sale with product and application questions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Instrumentation, or a related technical field required
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, industrial instrumentation, sensors, automation, or a related field
Strong technical understanding of pressure measurement, level measurement, industrial sensors, process instrumentation, or automation products
Ability to read and understand technical specifications, datasheets, and customer application requirements
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
Experience preparing quotes, selecting products, or supporting industrial customers preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when configuring products and pricing
Comfortable working directly with customers by phone and email
Experience with CRM systems, ERP systems, or quoting tools is a plus
Must be able to work on-site in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
Compensation
Salary: $125,000 per year
