Ainsley Search Group is hiring for a seasoned Application Engineer with experience in Industrial Control Equipment to join a Global OEM company located in Bucks County; this OEM is specialized in design, engineering and manufacturer Industrial Control Equipment servicing the Water Processing, Food and Beverage, Pulp, Paper, Petrochemical, Oil, Gas, etc. This Application Engineer will report to the Application Engineering Manager and provide technical support, application expertise to sales team, field service team, customers, suppliers, manufacturing and marketing team on product troubleshooting, design, repair, upgrades, modifications, etc. S/He will evaluate customer specifications to develop a feasible solutions to all stakeholders, support life-cycle of capital project from sales support (quoting and proposal), installation, commissioning and aftermarket. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative base salary, performance bonus and competitive benefits. In addition, company would like to develop this individual to become the Product Manager, Project Manager or Sales Engineer in the near future.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Engineering Manager and support inside sales, outside sales, project manager, field service team, customers and marketing team on product applications, modifications, and other technical support.
Collaborate closely with both inside and outside sales team to provide technical support and application expertise based on customer specifications; research customer requirement and pre-estimate for safety, materials and technical resource, provide technical approval for quoting process, support proposal process.
Based off customer inquires and specifications, research materials, production lead-time and design lead-time, work with finance to timely present quote, proposal to customers.
Provide detailed technical support (remote and onsite) to customers on product applications (Industrial Control Equipment), troubleshooting for malfunctions, provide remote and onsite training to customers as needed.
Support field operations (Project Manager & Field Service Engineers), create work packages for field engineers regarding project specifications, materials, timeline, budgets, etc.; travel to customer site with field engineers or PM as needed.
Support life cycle of capital project from start to finish, collect customer specifications, measurement and develop a customized solution based on product capacity and limitation; support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades to both customers and field personnel.
Provide technical support to manufacturing team on production process, R&D and quality control, ensure compliance of quality and product tolerance based on customer requirements.
Support suppliers and vendors on specifications of spare parts, raw materials, etc.
Promote marketing by providing product technical literature, support preparation and marketing effort for trade shows, product categories, 3rd party marketing firms, and other marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
5-10 years of work experience as a Project Engineer, Application Engineer, or related roles within industrial manufacturing space.
Solid electro-mechanical aptitude, able to provide troubleshooting and technical support on both product applications, systems and mechanical functions.
Proficient in Solidwork for 3D and 2D modeling.
Experience in Project Management and technical support on small to mid-size capital equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to translate engineering issues, bottlenecks and constrains to non-engineering customers.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, outside of box thinker and able to foresee various scenarios to reduce engineering risks.
Able to pass drug screen, background check and employment verification.
